About us
A neighborhood shop with dealership-level capability.
Tech Masters opened in 2004 in a two-bay garage on TN-10. Today we run eight bays, a dedicated transmission room, and a diagnostic lab — but we still answer the phone ourselves.

Our story
Ray Alvarez started Tech Masters after a decade of watching customers get quoted for full engine and transmission replacements they didn't need. The idea was simple: build a shop with the tooling to actually diagnose the hard stuff, and the honesty to tell people when a repair isn't worth it.
Two decades later we've rebuilt thousands of transmissions, chased down electrical gremlins other shops gave up on, and kept local fleets on the road. We're a certified state inspection station, a NAPA AutoCare center, and every technician on the floor is ASE certified.
Most of our work still comes from word of mouth — which is exactly how we like it.

What we stand for
Honesty first
If you don't need it, we won't sell it. We'd rather keep you for twenty years than upsell you once.
Do it once, do it right
We fix root causes, not symptoms, and back the work with a nationwide warranty.
Explain everything
Photos, measurements, and plain-English explanations before any wrench turns.
Keep learning
Our techs train continuously on hybrid, turbo, and modern electronic systems.
